Mimi's Chuka Diner is a cozy owner-operated 36-seat restaurant located between Union and Porter Square in Somerville. We serve "chūka ryōri," which is a style of cuisine that adapts Chinese dishes to Japanese palates/cooking methods. Mimi's combines that with traditional American diner influences while providing warm, welcoming service. Our food is designed to be comforting, shareable, and crave-worthy.

The menu features savory dishes like homemade dumplings, garlic noodles, crispy chicken karaage, and a decadent hand-ground burger with fresh cut fries. Alongside the food, we serve a carefully curated selection of beer, wine, sake, and house cocktails.

The decor and design is inspired by the classic American diner with touches of modern Japanese art, Chinoiserie, and is buttressed by two life-sized shadowbox frames made from reclaimed mahogany that the owners collected during pre-buildout demolition.
