Enjoy a five-course prix fixe dinner from Chef Jon & Chef Ted to celebrate our first year at Mimi’s Chūka Diner. We’re showcasing Jon & Ted’s culinary talents with specialty dishes that blend chũka ryōri/traditional Japanese cuisine with Chef Jon’s background in classical French technique and New England seafood. Jon & Ted have always loved and cultivated the juxtaposition of high- and low-brow elements at Mimi’s. Our Year One menu is a tribute to this philosophy as they serve an elevated collection of composed dishes with a focus on creativity and seasonal ingredients in our casual-yet-cozy dining room. Chef Ted has also put together a stunning selection of beverage pairings available as an optional add-on for the quintessential Mimi’s dining experience. Pairings will include a selection of sake, cocktails, and wines that perfectly compliment each course. After a full year of menu refinement (read: reps reps & more reps) and serving as the training wheels for a very green crew, Jon & Ted are looking forward to getting back to what they enjoy most - putting together an exciting menu of refined dishes that look as delicious as they taste. We’re treating Year One like a graduation dinner to the next chapter of Mimi’s; to commemorate finally feeling like we have our feet underneath ourselves so we can plunge full steam ahead on several exciting new projects for the year to come.
