Bostonians only get a few good months of warm weather a year and we like to enjoy each one to the fullest. There’s lots of patio dining and scenic rooftops to enjoy, but if you’d like to get a little more active consider unleashing your competitive side at these outdoor game spots.

Info: Get active in the most fun way possible, by playing Pickleball at the new courts at Harpoon Brewery. Rent the course by hour for a friendly game with friends or join a league for five weeks of competition.
When: 10am-10:30pm daily
Info: Transport yourself to a beachier climate by heading to The Park at Assembly Row for a game of sand volleyball. In addition to this classic summer sport you’ll also find pickleball, cornhole, and bocce.

Info: Tons of cornhole boards in the heart of the Seaport. Enjoy live music, food stalls, cocktails, wine, and beer while you play.
When: 11am-8pm Sunday-Thursday, 11am-9pm Friday & Saturday
Info: In the heart of the Seaport you can reserve one of three bocce lanes and try your hand at this classic game. The lanes are hosted by Project Paulie, a community organization bringing people together through food and culture and proceeds from the bocce games will go towards Project Bread.

Info: It’s hard to beat the back-to-basics fun of this beloved brewery game. Every Sunday in July Time Out Market is hosting a cornhole tournament and anyone can register a team to show off their skills.

Info: In addition to artsy swings and live music, you can also enjoy a friendly game of pickleball at Lawn on D. You can reserve a court up to two weeks in advance to guarantee fun at this popular spot.

Info: Engage a friend in a friendly game of cornhole or challenge a nearby group to a tournament at the cornhole lanes at this nightlife spot. Who knows, you may throw more accurately after a cocktail.

Info: It turns out Fenway Park isn’t only primed for baseball but for pickleball too. Watch professional tournaments or try your hand in an amateur game during this four-day festival.
