Halloween as a kid is awesome. Your goal is to dress up in the craziest outfit possible, hang out with all your friends, and collect free candy all night. But Halloween as an adult has its own perks. We’ve rounded up the best spooktacular events for grown-ups to celebrate this holiday. The sugar just might come from cocktails instead of Reese’s.

Candlelit Crypt Tours at King's Chapel

When: Fridays in October

Where: Downtown

Info: King’s Chapel has one of the few surviving church crypts in New England and Halloween is one of the only times it’s open for tours. While walking through the space by candlelight you’ll learn the eerie history of the space. 


Aeronaut Cannery Haunted Brewery Tours

Info: Join Aeroanut on a spooky tour of the forgotten areas of the brewery building. Tickets include a welcome beer to fortify your nerves and all the ghoulish brewery stories your heart can handle. 


The Masquerade of Abbadia Mare: Inspired by the Tales of Edgar Allan Poe at Hammond Castle Museum

Info: Journey to the historic castle that was home to the Hammond family in the 1920s.
