GreekFest Somerville brings homemade Greek food, pastries, live music, and dancing to 29 Central Street twice a year: our three-day festival each September and our two-day Gyro Festival timed with Ssomerville Porchfest in May. Our food is made from scratch by the parishioners of Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, a Somerville neighborhood parish since 1916. Entry is always free, everyone is welcome, and proceeds support our community ministries, including the Dormition Table, which serves free homemade meals to neighbors in need, a community refrigerator and other needs the city has.
