The Somerville Fermentation Festival is an annual celebration of the world of fermented foods and the layers of community that create them. Free & open to the public, this event features a diverse vendor marketplace, a Speaker Series, hands-on community activities, and more.

In addition to the annual festival, the Somerville Fermentation Festival hosts workshops and community activities throughout the year such as fermentation tables at local farmers’ markets, where participants can learn to ferment their own vegetables to take home.
