The Andres Institute of Art was founded in 1998 by Paul Andres and John Weidman, sculptor, in Brookline, New Hampshire. The following year was the first Annual International Bridges and Connections Sculpture Symposium. More than twenty-five years later, we have over 100 sculptures along ten miles of trails on a 140-acre former ski area, by artists representing over fifty countries. A founding principle of the AIA is that the public should have free and frequent access to both art and nature. To that end, the park is available to the public every day for free (donations requested).

The 25th Annual Symposium will be held September 13 - October 6, 2025. There are live music concerts and other events planned throughout the Symposium, and you can visit the Studio (about 2/3 of the way up the hill) to watch the artists at work.

We are supported by donations and fundraisers. We have an Iron Melt twice a year. Participants purchase and carve molds. We melt iron in our furnace and pour it into the prepared molds as the crowd watches. We also have an amazing Live at the Andres concert series in the former Big Bear (Ski) Lodge. The music spans genres, from jazz to blues, classical to big band, classic rock to bluegrass. Concerts are approximately twice a month, typically on a Sunday (aka least traffic).

Visit the website for more information on everything happening at the Andres Institute of Art - www.andresinstitute.org. You can also find us on social media, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. We are located approximately 1 hour north and west of Boston without traffic.
