The Somerville scene is changing, and a collective of creatives is joining forces to help ensure the city stays on a path where the arts are not only celebrated, but also protected.


And that path is linked to Willie Burnley Jr.’s ongoing campaign to become the next mayor of Somerville. A series of events are set for this summer endorsing the candidacy, and the next arrives Sunday, July 27 in Willie Fest II, a night of homegrown Somerville music at The Rockwell Theatre in Davis Square.


Organized by chiptune trio Battlemode, fresh off captivating Boston Calling, the night also features Your Friends In Hell, Mallcops, and The Love Shamans, with an appearance by the candidate – and current councilor at large - himself.


Somerville needs a mayor who will uphold artist values while actively defending the community, and now those artists are coming to the cause. We invite you to, as well.
