MONTHLY LECTURE AT MGH RUSSELL MUSEUM
The Paul S. Russell, MD Museum of Medical History and Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital invites you to its next hybrid lecture. “When the Weather Becomes a Health Emergency: Climate Change and the Future of Healthcare” will be presented by Jennifer Shearer, MPH, vice president of MGB Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity, on Tuesday, September 8, from 6-7 PM, in person at 2 North Grove Street or on Zoom.
Climate change is reshaping the threats to human health, from extreme heat and worsening air quality to more frequent disruptions caused by storms, flooding, and wildfires. This presentation explores how these evolving hazards affect individuals, communities, and healthcare systems, while highlighting practical strategies to build resilience and prepare for the health challenges of a changing climate.
To register for this free event (either in person or virtually), go to https://mghmuseumclimate.eventbrite.com. A Zoom link will be sent to all attendees closer to the event through your Eventbrite registration.
