WA Artists Open Studios

On the first Saturday of every month, Western Avenue Studios & Western Avenue Lofts artists open their doors to the public. Come take a peek inside their work spaces and learn more about Lowell’s local creative talent. There is a crazy wide variety of art being made here.

Why is July special? It is the start of a new lease year which means there are over two dozen new artists in the building. Open Studios is a day to explore, chat, get ideas, find out about classes, marvel and delight.

What else happens on an OS Saturday? Over the summer Brew’d Awakening will be on site with a coffee pop-up (and yes – there will be iced coffee too!) and will feature Sweet Lydia’s chocolates and confections. A food truck will be ready for action from noon – 8pm for each OS. Which food truck? Check our FB page for the answer. Navigation Brewing is open from 2-10pm. And the Loading Dock Gallery hosts its’ monthly reception for the gallery’s new show, Six By Six Under $100, from 4-6pm.

Western Avenue is a complex of four buildings of artist studios and loft residences that number over 350 artists. We think that makes us the largest artist community at least on the East Coast - right here in Lowell MA!!

This is a free event AND we have plenty of free parking in our 3 lots.
