Step outside and into the garden for an intimate performance experience. Join us on Saturday, May 2 for Unfurling Into Spring, an interactive, outdoor performance presented in partnership between Boston Dance Theater and Native Plant Trust. 


Inspired by the artwork of Kim Radochia, Unfurling invites audiences to a guided stroll followed by an outdoor performance against the green backdrop of Garden in the Woods. Following the performance, hear Boston Dance Theater Founder & Co-Artistic Director Jessie Jeanne Stinnett and artist Kim Radochia in conversation with fellow artists 2025 Native Plant Trust Visiting Artist and Interdisciplinary Sound Artist/Sound Designer Skooby Laposky and Native Plant Trust Senior Horticulturist David Falk, as they ruminate on the intersections of creation, nature, and connection through different artistic mediums.


Inspired by ecological relationships and the unseen networks that sustain life, this interactive work unfolds among the landscape as dancers move like tendrils through a living, breathing backdrop and invites you to share the space, creating an up-close, interactive experience inspired by plants, art, place, and connection. Stay after the performance for a panel discussion and reception.
