With guidance from Anara Frank and the support of MetaMovements Artist Collective members, Javier Jeffer’s work in the Greater Boston community through a special artist visa is culminating in a powerful, immersive theatre production.
Un Sueño Habanero: An Immersive Theater Production with Live Music and Dance, is a journey between the world of dreams and the waking life of Roberto, a Cuban artist who currently lives and works far from his homeland on a special artist visa. Through projections, poetry, live percussion, songs, and dance in an intimate black box theatre, the audience is transported between Havana, Cuba, and Boston.
This deeply collaborative production brings together the artistry of Javier Jeffer, Anara Frank, and the DeCu Music & Dance teams, with the vision of Illuminus, collaboration from JAE Dance Center, and support from the Passim Iguana Music Fund.
