The State of Race is a series of in-person and virtual forums about race and racial inequality produced in partnership with GBH, GBH WORLD, NAACP Boston, and The Boston GlobeLearn more about the series.

Asbestos. Lead. Pesticides. Toxins. Climate change. Environmental dangers in the air, water and land disproportionately impact the lives of Massachusetts residents of color where they live, work and play.

What’s being done to repair and protect the Bay State’s most vulnerable and diverse communities from the environmental dangers seeping into our daily lives. Are green and blue economies the keys to unlocking a better future?

The event will be moderated by Paris Alston, co-host of GBH's Morning Edition and "The Wake Up" podcast from GBH News.

Tickets to both the in-person and the virtual experience are free, but reservations are required.

Here are two options for tickets:

Attend In-person event from 6-7pm at the GBH Studio at the Boston Public Library, Central Branch in Copley Square.

Attend virtually from 6-7pm. Register for this event now and we will send you a link to live stream the event.
