Free Fun for the Whole Family!
The Harvard Square Business Association, in partnership with the Cambridge Arts Council, invites you to a free outdoor movie screening on Palmer Street, Thursday, August 25th at 7pm. Feel free to BYOB (bring your own blanket) and snacks - we will have chairs and fresh popped popcorn!
The fun starts at 7pm with a performance by the band Fourshadow. (https://www.facebook.com/TheBandFourshadow/) They have been called one of the best teen bands in the Boston region; this prodigious group of youngsters and their pumped-up rock sound have been building a buzz in the Merrimack Valley area since 2014.
The movie will screen at 8pm. Here’s a hint of what will be playing…the Prevention of Cruelty to Children convention is just a cover for a more sinister plot to rid the world of all its smelly children by turning them to mice in this fantasy classic. So wear your black pointed hats and ride in your brooms for a bewitching night under the stars.
Each summer Cambridge parks come alive with music, dance, storytellers, theatrical performances, puppetry, movies and more! Cambridge Arts presents a wide array of FREE, multicultural, interactive arts programs both day and night for children, families, and the entire community. Performances are designed for children between the ages of 4 and 11, but are fun and engaging for all ages.
Summer in the City is supported by the Cambridge Community Foundation (CCF). Founded in 1916, CCF is the only charitable foundation focused on all of Cambridge. CCF now returns a total of $1.3 million each year to a broad range of social service agencies, including the Cambridge Arts Council.
