Stanley Sagov on keys treats patients at Mount Auburn and Cambridge Hospitals while he heals with music. Original from Cape Town, South Africa, he was born with Gordon syndrome, and began playing music from 6 years old into adulthood, even breaking the law for performing in black townships outside of Cape Town. Now aged 73, he still believes in the music’s power to inspire. His band consists of Stan Strickland on reeds and vocals, Wanetta Jackson on vocals, Mike Peipman on brass, John Lockwood on bass, and Bob Gullotti on drums.
