Tenor Michael Calmés and Dr. William D. Cooper, Wellesley Hills Congregational Church music director, will present “Songs of Courage, Hope & Inspiration” — a benefit for the music fund — on Saturday, October 26, at 4:00 p.m. in the church.
The concert features a Mozart cantata on universal brotherhood; Four Hymns by Ralph Vaughan Williams with violist Joan Ellersick; Abraham and Isaac by Benjamin Britten with alto Shannon Lebrón; Three Songs from Ecclesiastes by Daniel Pinkham; Max Janowski’s Avinu Malkeinu; Margaret Bonds’ setting of He’s Got the Whole Word In His Hand; Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory; and more.
