Yardwork Productions produces Rat Music Fest, a DIY multimedia music fest. We believe that by partying in the neighborhood, we can build solidarity with our neighbors. In its third year, the fest gathers local and regional bands, artists of all media, vendors, community advocacy organizations, volunteers, and neighbors.


The fest is held in a parking lot in Somerville. No one is turned away for lack of funds (NOTAFLOF) and attendees can earn entry to Rat* by volunteering at the fest or contributing other solidarity work. We host art builds, sound training programs, other interactive experiential events, and produce a multimedia magazine called Rat Tails.


We work to build a year-round ecosystem for the world we want to live in.
