The news industry was once considered a man's field. But over the centuries, women have played an important role in delivering news and information to the masses. From former slave Ida B. Wells who investigated the lynching of Black men in the American South, to Barbara Walters, who became the first woman to anchor a national TV newscast, let's celebrate Women's History Month by honoring the many women who devoted their lives to reporting the facts.
