WHO:

Steve Imrich and Kathryn Geismar are two painters whose work explores themes of memory, identity, place, and the self. Imrich, a former architect and pilot, paints sweeping views of landscapes shaped by both nature and design, while Geismar draws from her experience as a psychologist and mother to create deeply personal portraits of her children.


WHAT:

The Paul Dietrich Gallery, founded within CambridgeSeven as an extension of its cross-disciplinary design ethos, presents SOMEWHERE | SOMEONE. The show brings together the distinct yet complementary painting practices of Steve Imrich and Kathryn Geismar. Imrich’s aerial views of natural and built landscapes meet Geismar’s intimate portraits of her children, creating a compelling exploration of how we connect to place and to one another. Both artists revisit familiar imagery, shifting between detail and whole to uncover new ways of seeing and understanding the world around us.
