This two-hour workshop will introduce you to the skills you need to start meaningfully incorporating music into your improv scenes! From warming up your voice, supporting your scene partners, and exploring your balance of self trust and silliness, get ready to launch into the world of improvised musicals!

An introduction to musical improv led by The Nova Comedy Collective instructor Nathan Cowper, presented by The Nova Comedy Collective as an "Orbit" level class. It is ideal for those with some past improv experience including introductory classes/workshops, game and scene format experience.

About the Instructor

Nathan Cowper is a musician and improviser who has been performing in the Boston area since 2014. Nathan has worked as a music director and piano accompanist at many local comedy theaters, taught classes in musical improv, and provided music for corporate engagements. A piano player since childhood and improviser since high school, Nathan also writes surreal indie music under the stage name Arugula Oglethorpe.
