MAAP Tag Sale Fundraiser

The Material Aid and Advocacy Program (MAAP) holds twice annual Tag Sale Fundraisers in the Spring and Fall to our work with unhoused community members. The sales includes clothing that is of good to new quality and is not of use to MAAP community members (pieces that need to be dry cleaned or are otherwise costly to maintain) as well as vintage and designer clothing, finer housewares, antiques, and jewelry. Some items that do not sell and are practical are put out in our free store for MAAP community members, while other items are saved for the next sale. Proceeds from the Tag Sale make up 10% of MAAP's annual budget.

What you can find at the sale:

Most clothing is under $20 (with the exception of leather jackets and a few other designer pieces)

See You at the Sale!

Friday April 21 5:30PM-8:00PM

Saturday April 22 9AM-2PM

5 Longfellow Park (5 mn walk from Harvard Square, across from the Longfellow House 105 Brattle Street) Cambridge, MA 02138

Look for the pink tag sale signs!

Cash, Checks, and Debit/Credit via Square are accepted. Please remember to bring your reusable bags! If you forget, we will have limited paper shopping bags on hand. We will also have boxes and packing material for breakable items.

Safety & Accessibility:

We will ask that you wear masks for COVID-19 safety. We will have extra surgical masks on hand for anyone who may need one.

There is metered parking on Brattle Street, Mt.Auburn Street and non-metered along the nearby side streets (many residential streets are open to anyone on weekends but please be sure to mind the signs). We have parking for people with disabilities in our parking lot and have a ramp entrance. Please text or call (617)876-5312 if you need any assistance with accessing our space.

Have Items for the Sale?

If you have items you think would be useful for the sale, or any items from our urgent needs wishlist, they can be brought to MAAP on Tuesdays from 9am-7pm or Thursdays from 9am-3pm through Tuesday April 18th.

About MAAP:

MAAP follows the leadership of and organizes with unhoused people and people who use drugs for evidence-based solutions to the interconnected systems and policy failures they are surviving. We support people in meeting their needs through outreach & sweep support, and at our low-threshold drop-in space where people access material aid and meals; have risk reduction conversations and safety plan; connect to resources and providers; build community; care for each other; and organize. 100% of tag sale proceeds support our work.
