Four female leaders from the Massachusetts cannabis industry will host an interactive event that will help business owners and job seekers shape and stand out in the rapidly changing industry. Hosted by attorney Shaleen Title, co-founder of THC Staffing Group; attorney Shanel Lindsay, founder and president of Ardent, LLC; Tiffany Hogan, recruiter for THC Staffing Group; and marketing communications and business development strategist Beth Waterfall, the Marijuana Law & Cannabis Careers event takes place on March 7 at District Hall in Boston.

Despite voters passing Question 4 in 2016 to regulate and tax cannabis in the Commonwealth, curveballs keep coming from legislators and other opponents fighting to delay the start of this new legal cannabis industry – and delay jobs and innovation. Having a clear understanding of the current laws and proposed changes, as well as the threats and opportunities to professionals from all corners of the industry, is more important than ever.

“Massachusetts is positioned to be one of the most influential and successful cannabis markets in the U.S. – and possibly the world,” explained Shaleen Title, event organizer, speaker, and one of the architects of the Massachusetts ballot initiative that legalized marijuana in the Commonwealth. “This is a meeting for anyone looking to turn their cannabis passion into a career, regardless of their past.”

The event takes place at District Hall, 75 Northern Avenue in Boston, from 6:00 – 8:30 PM on Tuesday, March 2. It is open to the public and media. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/marijuana-law-cannabis-careers-update-tickets-31939060590.

As part of the event hosts’ commitment to equality and citizen engagement, discounted tickets will be offered to those who have contacted their legislators to discuss Question 4, and free tickets will be offered to people with past cannabis convictions.
