2 Sessions - Tuesday, November 4 & Tuesday, November 11 from 6-7:45pm

It's great to have a great idea for a film, but without the knowledge of how to get it done, how to promote it, or how to get it accepted into film festivals, the idea is unfortunately doomed to remain just an idea. Making a film can present all sorts of unexpected obstacles. Fortunately, this class has been designed to teach you how to overcome those obstacles and make your cinematic dreams a reality. You will learn how to plan each aspect of the production process to stay on track, as well as the tools to motivate yourself and those around you to get the job done.

Additionally, the class will cover the journey after production is finished, when it is time to submit to film festivals and/or seek distribution. You will not only learn the steps to take to get there, but also practical advice on networking and negotiating the best possible deal for yourself and your work. It's called 'show business' for a reason, and in the class, you will leave with the knowledge and understanding to enter this business. Instructor: Rory Liddy
