Join us on May 11th at 5:30pm until 6pm for an Inauguration Ceremony for a Little Library and Take-a-Zine stand to be installed in front of the Armory building.
The Take-a-Zine Leave-a-Zine Project, Pleasure Pie, and Mass Makers are partnering with the Center for Arts at the Armory to install a Zine Stand specifically for zines and other printed matter by independent artists. The Take-a-Zine Leave-a-Zine Project (@takeazine on Instagram) plants community-run bookstands across Massachusetts to foster the trade of zines, art books, and printed matter. Pleasure Pie (pleasurepie.org & @pleasurepie on Instagram) is a small sexual justice organization that makes zines and fosters community around sexual freedom and zines in the Boston area, and is coordinating this collaboration. Mass Makers (mass-makers.com & @mass.makers on Instagram) is a foundry for collaborative, artist driven fabrication and experimentation, based in Boston, and have volunteered to build and install the library.
