Life Painting Boston

This is NOT a typical, painting group. This is a fun, social, community group that meets to paint from a live, nude model and decompress from the stresses of everyday life. This is for those who want to paint in community but aren’t drawn to the “paint nite” vibes; those who want to try painting but don’t have all the materials & setup; those who want some painting support but don’t want to pay for an expensive class. There is inconsistent, spontaneous instruction that is generally focused on loosening up and letting go of perfectionism. There are no requirements for membership; this could be your first time touching a paint brush (although that would be weird). We want you and your energy - we don’t care about your resume.

A loose run-down of the evening:

-We start off with check-ins and get to know one-another.

-We do short, warmup poses with loose instruction.

-We have another break (some people show their work).

-We do more painting (longest pose).

-We clean up.

It's $30 at the door; cash, check, Venmo, Zelle are all accepted. We’ve got snacks but BYOB. Feel free to bring your own supplies, but otherwise everything is provided for.

Getting here:

72 Joy St is right off the East Somerville green line stop. There is a bike path and a blue bike station steps from the entrance. There is a parking lot for your car.
