Don’t miss out on this special opportunity to broaden your yogic and educational skill sets and to learn more about the rapidly growing field of kids yoga! Dawn Keighley M. Ed., is a Massachusetts licensed educator with more than fifteen years’ experience working with children in both physical and academic settings. This extensive experience, combined with graduate degrees in both education and child psychology and development, has provided Dawn with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how to effectively deliver yoga and mindfulness to children. She has created and developed numerous kids yoga and mindfulness trainings for yoga teachers, educators, school psychologists and counselors that are used in both academic and yoga studio settings. Dawn completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Back Bay Yoga in 2011, and received additional trainings in yoga for anxiety and depression, yoga and mindfulness for special needs, yoga for children with ADD/ADHD, and yoga in the schools. Drawing from her broad education and years of experience with children, Dawn skillfully designs each yoga class around the needs of a child’s developing mind and body. For the littlest yogis, her classes consist of yoga poses and breathing exercises incorporated into highly invigorating and imaginative educational play. For the big kids, Dawn offers a fun and lively vinyasa flow, through which children are able to cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves and their environment while developing strength, flexibility, and balance—both in the mind and in the body. No matter the age or the ability of her students, Dawn strives to honor, follow, nurture, and respect the natural flow of life. Cost: $499 / $425 by January 2nd All workshops are non-refundable.
