2 Sessions - Thursday, December 4 & December 11 from 6-7:45pm
Once you grasp the basics of video editing, you are equipped to create finished products out of raw footage. However, the challenge still remains: 'How do I make it good?' This is where the art and craft of storytelling comes into play. While there are certain, more advanced editing techniques to learn within the software, success in this phase of a project often relies on the structure of narrative that is laid by the editor's decisions, which become the foundation of the viewing experience of the audience. In this class, you will learn the technical side of editing as well the concepts of narrative and story architecture that allow cohesive, engaging films to be made. This course is perfect for anyone who has some editing experience already, but would like to take their skills to the next level. Instructor: Rory Liddy
