We'll be hiking Mt. Washington, the tallest mountain in the Northeast. Mt. Washington is part of the Presidential Mountains and reaches to 6,288 ft at the summit. It is considered one of the 48 4,000 footers in New Hampshire and offers incredible panoranmic views of the White Mountains, alongside the surrounding ranges. We'll be hiking via the Tuckerman Ravine Trail to the summit. We'll start at the Pinkham Notch Trailhead and ascend via the Tuckerman Ravine Trail for 3.95 miles before reaching the summit. On the descent, we'll briefly take the Tuckerman Ravine Trail down for 0.3 miles before heading onto the Lion Head Trail for 1.4 miles. The trail meets back at the Tuckerman Ravine Trail for 2.3 miles towards the Pinkham Notch Trailhead. The total hike will be 7.9 miles in a loop.
