Bluesy Tuesy is a friendly partner dance held on Tuesdays in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. The fourth Tuesday every month is our fusion dance night, Fusey Bluesy Tuesy.
Fusion for us means that we steal and adapt things from a range of dances (blues, contact improv, tango, and more) to partner dance (or solo) to a wide range of music, whatever the DJ can get away with. Our community is about sharing the joy and release of connection – all ages, all backgrounds, all bodies, all humans. Beginners always welcome, no partner required. You can see some sample video of fusion and blues dance styles on our website.
When? Where? How much? What do I bring?
- Lesson 7:30 - 8:30 p.m., DJ'd open dancing 8:30 until at least 10, often later.
- Admission is pay-what-you-can, cash only, but we take IOUs, $5-$20 suggested

- We also have a Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/102014349907754 where we post stuff like weather changes (sometimes we're outside if it's nice out)
- We suggest bringing an N95 mask, reusable water bottle, comfy shoes for dancing that won't get street grit or water on the floor, and an open heart, but we have masks and cups available and it's ok to dance in socks.
Covid stuff: We require masks, we use air filters, we ventilate the space as much as weather allows, we do contact tracing.
