Join ACDC at their 20th Annual Films At The Gate Festival at the iconic Chinatown Gate! Catch a curated selection of films, lively performances, a panel talk, and evenings full of community! Free and open to all!
Film Schedule:
Films At The Gate is a three-day, bilingual film festival, organized and run by Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC)’s A-VOYCE youth. The festival attracts over 600 attendees annually, bringing together people of all backgrounds, ages, and neighborhoods to enliven Chinatown. Films at the Gate revives the spirit of the Chinatown movie theaters that shut down due to the rise in video rental stores in the 1980s. By introducing this tradition to future generations, the festival anchors the shared experiences of Chinese-language films back into the fabric of Chinatown’s community.
