February Vacation @ The Speedway: Family Yoga

Join popular children's yoga teacher, Tracy Affonso of Artemis Yoga for a vacation week Family Yoga class at the Speedway! Family Yoga is always fun and energizing but it is also a unique opportunity to promote family wellness and to deepen the bond between you and your child in new ways.

Artemis family yoga classes will teach you and your children flexibility, stability, and calming through breath. From stretching in poses to relaxing with breathwork, children simply enjoy how yoga makes them feel and this is a great chance to try yoga together! Tracy Affonso, who is also an elementary school educator and mindfulness instructor.

This program is designed for children ages 4 and up, ideally K to grade 4 or 5. It is not a toddler class.

Tracy Affonso is one of the area's most popular children's teachers. Children (and parents) LOVE her creativity, engaging activities and easy way she integrates mindfulness and yoga in an age-appropriate way.

Tracy Affonso is a registered 500 HR Registered Yoga Teacher as well as a long-time elementary school teacher in the public schools of Newton and Fall River. Experienced in leading both children and adults yoga classes. Additionally, Tracy has participated on panels and leads workshops on bringing mindfulness into the classroom for Kripalu and the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Tracy’s classes are a fun physical practice infused with a sense of calming energy.
