This May, immerse yourself in the poetry of Emily Dickinson and Edna St. Vincent Millay as their classic works are immortalized in an evening of thematic art songs. These two iconic New England poets are celebrated through the acclaimed works of Lori Laitman, Arthur Farwell, Margaret Bonds, and others that will be performed throughout this program, alongside the contemporary works of talented composers chosen from Calliope's Call's prestigious Call for Scores competition. This experience is designed to honor the rich depths of New England’s literary history, coupling perennial poetry with an inspired, innovative musical production.
