8:00-10:15 pm Dancing!!! We dance wildly to the offerings of Chad and Nina who mix it up and take us on a magical dance journey.

🔶PUJA CIRCLE WARMUP WITH JESSICA MORTELL🔶
Join us for a fun and playful Puja Circle where we’ll warm up the dance floor and our hearts.


Puja is a sanskrit word found in Eastern traditions that can mean prayer, offering, reverence, worship, and adoration. As Puja evolved and was brought to the west, it is better known as an event filled with tantric and authentic relating practices to increase intimacy, connection, and love and adoration for ourselves, and each other. Through guided exercises we'll have the opportunity to experience the divine in each other.


This is a beautiful, safe, and supportive space where we get to:


✨Practice presence, curiosity, and mindfulness
✨Be open, honest, and real
✨Relax, breathe deeply, and release tension and stress
✨Feel more centered, grounded, and clear
✨Raise our vibration and uplevel our communication and relating skills


This puja is tailored for the dance community. We'll incorporate some fun, playful exercises alongside energetic practices, breathwork, eyegazing, partner yoga and dance!

DANCE FREELY! There's no right or wrong way to dance. This is a safe, nonjudgemental space to dance and move however you feel.
Dance Freedom is a chance for dancers to co-create a night of art, music movement, and magic!

Dance Freedom believes that music and free style dance together are one of the most powerful vehicles for the expression of joy, creativity, human unity, as well as healing, and the experiencing of deeper consciousness, spirit and transformation


At Dance Freedom, we get to experience the joy of dance and leave behind cultural expectations of social dancing as courting behavior. A dance is just a dance, a brief perfect moment in time to free yourself from expectations. Enjoy dancing alone, with a partner, or in a group. There is no right or wrong way to move.


Dance Freedom is a weekly barefoot improvisational jam for for people who love to dance, continuously running for 52 years in a drug, alcohol, and shoe-free environment.


🔶GUIDELINES🔶


Holding a Safe and Sacred Space
• Be curious, open, and accepting.
• Take conversations to the library behind the DJ.
• Move with care and awareness through the space. Help avoid collisions on the dance floor.
• Be mindful of others’ personal boundaries. Dance Freedom is very contact-friendly, but we all have different levels of comfort when it comes to being approached and touched. Get enthusiastic non-verbal Consent before touching anyone. If you don't want to dance with someone, empower your no. One way is to bring your hands closed to your chest and bow in a gesture of 'no thank you’.


]• Wear a solo dance bracelet if you feel more comfortable dancing alone or if you want to select your own dance partners rather than being asked.


• No taking pictures or video without explicit permission from those in the photo.


Before You Arrive


•Be clear-minded. We dance free of alcohol and illegal substances.
• Leave your shoes and cellphones off the dance floor. And please leave any valuables at home or safely hidden in your car. (Note: If you need shoes for foot health, we welcome soft-soled dance shoes that have not been worn outside.)
• Please Bring a Dance Bag with your name on it. Use the bag to carry in your dance clothes and shoes and a water bottle, store your street clothes and shoes in it while you dance.

Jessica is a loving and nurturing leader and facilitator building bridges and gathering tribe. Her favorite place is in circle leading, supporting, and empowering each other to embrace our true essence and enjoy life as our most authentic selves. As a Love, Sex, and Intimacy Consultant, Jessica helps people gain clarity and catalyze transformation and healing. Jessica works with people on their journey of self love, mindfulness, embodiment, and sexual wholeness. Her warm heart and accepting presence invites you to relax into your truth, and be held with compassion.


Jessica facilitates classes and has a private practice in Arlington, MA and worldwide via technology. As a Master Healer graduating from the Rhys Thomas Institute of Energy Medicine, Jessica blends energy medicine, core shamanism, traditional and neo tantra, and sacred sexuality into her practices.
