On May 9 and 10, 2026, the Cambridge Chamber Singers will present a concert of Colonial, Romantic, jazz, and contempory music reflecting the wonderful variety that American music has to offer. The program includes works by Justin Morgan (who “had a horse”) and the maverick Charles Ives, as well as a sample spiritual, Keep Your Hand on that Plow, Hold On. The jazz set includes Gershwin’s Summertime, Jerome Kern’s All the Things You Are, and the toe-tapping Tuxedo Junction. The program is culminates with Samuel Barber’s masterful, moving Agnus Dei.
