Join us at the Boston Nature Center to learn about bumble bees! Bumble bees are one of the most recognizable groups of bees in the world, but there are a lot of misconceptions about these fascinating creatures. Bumble bees are unique among our native bees, and in this program we will get acquainted with our local species and their life history. We will walk the grounds in search of these bees in action, so be sure to wear the appropriate attire for walking and the weather.

Many bumble species are facing declines, including some that are found here in Massachusetts. Learning more about these creatures is the best first step toward their conservation, so come prepared to get your myths dispelled and interest piqued!

This is an indoor and (weather permitting) outdoor event.

PLEASE NOTE: This program will be conducted in accordance with current Municipal, State, and Mass Audubon Covid-19 protocols. Participants are encouraged to wear a face covering indoors and follow social distancing guidelines.

Registration is required. Register here: Bumble Bees of Massachusetts (massaudubon.org)
