This month's guest speaker at our Boston Skeptics Skeptics in the Pub is Gary Chinman, MD.


He will be speaking on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) , which is considered an evidence-based treatment for various psychiatric conditions, e.g., depression, anxiety, phobias, etc.


Dr Chinman is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School having graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and trained at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, part of the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program. He was co-director of the Outpatient Division of the Psychiatry Department at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and has been teaching cognitive behavioral therapy to psychiatry residents for the past 25 years. He’s a senior consultant at Levinson & Co, a consulting company engaged in organizational leadership development. In addition to his psychiatric private practice he does executive coaching of physicians and other health care professionals.


We will be meeting on the second floor this month. Please, if possible, arrive early so you can order dinner and catch up with your skeptical friends! Or make new skeptical friends if you haven't attended one of our gatherings recently or this is your first time.
