Beer & Transit is our monthly networking event, beer summit, and idea incubator. We bring the guests, you bring your ideas and questions! This time, we're pairing it with a live podcast episode recording and bringing on two guests to talk about active transit. We will be in Lir's upstairs space!
Topic
The emotional effects of a crash, what to do after you've had a crash on a bike, the role we all play in making our streets safer.
Guest Panelists
Josh Zisson graduated from Suffolk Law School and was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts in 2009. He worked for a few firms before starting his own practice specializing in bike law. Now he's practicing in Central Square, doing what he loves: riding bikes and practicing law. He's going to speak about commonly asked questions and the often unknown coverages that can help in the aftermath of a crash.
Iea Toner (pronouns they/them) lived in Boston when they survived a crash that has required more than a year of healing. Now claiming the Puget Sound as geographical home, iea teaches at Cascade Bicycle Club and focuses on the importance of creative-thinking skills. iea will be speaking about the physical and emotional healing after a crash, as well as the lifestyle restoration necessary for getting back on the bike.

Co-sponsored by Boston Cyclists Union. They're helping Bostonians lead healthier lives by promoting the everyday use of the bicycle for transportation. Among other things, they repair bikes, educate new riders, and organize neighborhood residents who would like to voice support for friendlier street designs, bike paths, and public spaces.
All proceeds will support our organisations in our advocacy for a safer transport network that connects people to work, play, and each other.
