Baroque to Broadway: A Cabaret for Community Brings Boston’s Top Artists Together for a Powerful Cause

The Henry Purcell Society of Boston invites the Greater Boston community to an extraordinary evening of music and purpose: Baroque to Broadway, a cabaret-style concert uniting world-class performers across genres in support of families in urgent need.

This unique program brings together artists from the Boston Early Music Festival, the Metropolitan Opera, and musical theater for a dynamic musical experience. The evening will move from the emotional intensity and intimacy of Baroque repertoire to the storytelling power and immediacy of musical theatre—revealing unexpected connections between these traditions.

More than a concert, Baroque to Broadway is a gathering—an invitation to come together in person through live performance, at a moment when connection and collective action matter deeply.

100% of proceeds from the event will benefit two organizations providing critical, direct support to families impacted by immigration detention and economic crisis: the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project and Compassion in Action.

“This project grew out of a desire to bring people together—not just to experience beautiful music, but to do something meaningful as a community,” said Jessica Cooper, Artistic Director and organizer. “Our musicians have stepped forward with incredible generosity, offering their artistry in service of something larger than themselves.”

The program will feature fourteen professional musicians donating their talents, including acclaimed soloists and guest artists of national and international distinction. With its blend of virtuosity, wit, and emotional depth, the evening promises to be both artistically rich and deeply resonant.
