Babes Bike Boston is Boston’s alleycat for + by cyclists of marginalized genders (including women, trans, & nonbinary people). Get ready to explore Boston on two wheels and compete for awesome prizes. Race is limited to women, trans & nonbinary folks only, but everyone is welcome to our afterparty. Registration $5-$20 (sliding scale).
Wondering what an alleycat is? Originating with bike messengers, alleycats test not only your speed but your knowledge of the city and ability to create an efficient route to hit different checkpoints throughout the city. Some checkpoints will have activities you must complete before moving on.
Babes Bike Boston encourages riders of all abilities to participate, go at your own pace, hit as many checkpoints as you can, and most importantly have fun! While we’ll have awards for the fastest riders, we’ll also have some award categories that aren’t all about speed (like the “most fun” award). Every year, we have lots of first-timers who have a blast. We’ll also have a new variation this year for the more competitive and speedy folks!
