Enrichment Workshop with Senior Zookeeper Paige
Experience the art and science of animal care in our new Enrichment Workshop, led by Senior Zookeeper Paige.
This professional, hands-on session offers an inside look at how Animal Adventures prioritizes the well-being and cognitive health of our rescued residents. Participants will explore the creative strategies used to stimulate exotic species, followed by an interactive workshop where you will construct custom enrichment items.
Highlights of the Experience:
Expert Instruction: Learn directly from our senior husbandry staff about animal behavior and welfare.
Interactive Building: Apply your knowledge at guided stations to create species-specific puzzles and toys.
Live Observation: Watch as your creations are introduced to our animals, providing a unique opportunity to observe their natural instincts and engagement.
Potential animal participants include our foxes, primates, coatis, skunks, and kinkajous.
About the Instructor:
Paige B. is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology. She interned at the Columbus Zoo with their enrichment coordinator and has interned at Animal Adventures for 4 summers. She is now a full time zookeeper with us and a valued member of our senior team.
