Join us Friday, July 10 at 12:00 PM at Wenham Museum for a fascinating lecture exploring a lesser-known chapter of Amelia Earhart’s life.

Most people know Amelia Earhart as the pioneering aviator who disappeared while attempting to fly around the world. But before that historic journey, she spent time in Medford, Marblehead, and Boston. Why was Amelia on Boston’s T-Wharf at 4:00 AM? Where did she gather around campfires for marshmallow roasts and storytelling? And why did Boston police nearly arrest her for littering?

These surprising stories will be brought to life by Dr. Margie Arnold, a leading Amelia Earhart historian and advocate.

Dr. Arnold is a retired higher education professor and administrator, author of two textbooks, and has delivered more than 100 professional presentations. She has spoken at the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum, the Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum, and the International Women’s Pilot Museum, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum.

Don’t miss this captivating look at the remarkable woman behind the legend!
