Offering an evening of community warmth and catharsis through music, Adam Sherman Band celebrates the release of new album “Sorrows and Smiles” at The Burren in Somerville on Thursday, February 5, joined by fellow Boston luminaries The Daylilies.


Nominated for Performer of the Year at the 2025 New England Music Awards and a 6-time nominee in the Boston Music Awards, Sherman is a veteran of the our music scene (Private Lightning, The Souls, Nervous Eaters). Continuing his solo career, “Sorrows and Smiles” is an expansive and emotive jolt of lush Americana folk-rock, and acts as a personal songwriting showcase as Sherman presents a collection of songs about triumph over heartbreak.


Lead single and fiery protest song “Everyday Dangers,” inspired by the local news, earned widespread media praise and was dubbed one of the “Coolest Songs in the World” by Little Steven’s Underground Garage on SiriusXM.


The album hits the streams the day after the release party.
