Start thinking about your pooches Halloween costume now. Make sure your canine's are pup-arazzi ready as JP Centre/South Main Streets announces its 20th annual Jamaica Plain Canine Costume Parade on Saturday October 26th starting at 12PM, featuring a red carpet contest, prizes, music and special guests. 🐕
Over the last couple of years, there have been ruff-ly 100 dog participants with over 1000 spectators including 400 to 500 watching the Red Carpet. Yeah, it's a pretty big deal and we are here for it!
Register your pup for $10, proceeds will go to City of Boston Animal Shelter.
Registration begins at 12pm on the lawn of First Baptist Church. You must register your dog IN PERSON with the $10 fee to be eligible for the Costume Contest. All proceeds go to the City of Boston Animal Shelter.
Parade begins at 1pm and proceeds from the First Baptist Church at 633 Centre Street, down Centre Street to the Loring Greenough House at 12 South Street. Dogs will walk the red carpet once all dogs have arrived at Loring Greenough.
