From Health Care to Whole Person Care


Traditional health care is rooted in the medical system and the care provided within the four walls of the clinic. As outcomes lag behind and costs explode, a comprehensive approach that views a person’s health holistically – addressing the socioeconomic, environmental, and behavioral factors in addition to physical health and wellbeing – is needed. This year’s conference seeks to understand how we shift from “patient” to “person,” with the ultimate goals of improving health outcomes, lowering costs and bringing the whole person to the center of the healthcare system.
