Founded in 1885, the Blue Hill Observatory is a newly renovated national historic landmark and weather observation station situated 635 feet above Great Blue Hill in Milton, MA. The Observatory engages in nonprofit work related to climate science research, education, and outreach. It is renowned worldwide for its uninterrupted and exceptional 140-year record of weather data collected from the same site, with minimal environmental changes. This results in historical records that serve as crucial resources for climate change research and education. Each year, over 6,000 adults and 4,000 youth visit the Observatory to explore the history of meteorology and the impacts of weather on today's climate and environment. The organization also partners with K-12 educators to bring students to the Observatory for NGSS-aligned programming
