Exiled Theatre has been a part of the Boston fringe theatre scene for more than a decade, founded by friends and artistic collaborators Teri Incampo and James Wilkinson. In the first years of its existence, the company mounted a number of theater productions, oscillating between world-premiere plays by local writers and more established works from the theatrical canon, always with a focus on crafting unique audience experiences and empowering collaborators to take creative risks. A typical Exiled Theatre show embraces the “fringe” of fringe theatre as a badge of honor. Our productions are proudly barebones, believing that the best theatre comes from a focus on human connection. Our goal is always to act in dialogue with our audiences, treating them as our partners in conversations as we explore the human experience together.
