Spruce Street Nursery School is a joyous and caring environment for children aged 2 to 5, that nurtures the whole child, where we believe that children proceed along a predictable path at a somewhat unpredictable pace. We strive to create a supportive environment where children feel safe to explore new ideas, develop a positive self-concept, and feel a valued part of the community.

Play is a crucial part of a child’s understanding of the world and it underpins the entire learning program at Spruce. Through play, the children create, experiment and learn with and from one another so that they can make connections that are meaningful to them. We foster creative thinking, kindness and respect by providing children ample opportunities to develop these fundamental tenets of our program.
