A leading artist in the national "folk" scene, MacDonald is the composer of several tunes covered by other artists and a festival favorite. A veteran of the 1980s Greenwich Village music world, he's a co-founder of the Greenwich Village Folk Festival who lives in south Florida, where he's been named one of "Ten Greatest South Florida Folksingers Of All Times" by New Times.
