The Eddy and ReelHouse, the latest venture from the Navy Yard Hospitality Group, are proud to announce a ZUMIX summer music series. The luxury residential building and the highly-anticipated restaurant located on East Boston’s waterfront, are partnering with ZUMIX, the East Boston based nonprofit organization dedicated to building its community through music and the arts, to showcase local talent. The performance schedule will feature: DiverCity Band, Wild Painting and Zumix Latin Ensemble. Guests can take in Boston’s skyline views from The Eddy lawn while enjoying the specialty cocktail “Ashore Thing” crafted by ReelHouse with a portion of proceeds benefiting ZUMIX and their mission to build a community through music and the arts.
This series is free and open to the public.
Latin Ensemble: ZUMIX participants not only get to play upbeat salsa and merengue tunes but also get to explore their roots. This dynamic group of young musicians has a unique synergy that enables them to create fantastic songs, like “Get the Gringo Dancing” as well as perfect traditional Latin favorites like “Girl from Ipanema” (which they sign in three different languages)! The Latin Ensemble has some of the youngest members, yet their artistry rivals that of adult bands. They have performed for the last four years at the Tito Puente Latin concert series.
