Wine & Yoga: A match made in natty heaven

"Wine is medicine for the spirit," winemaker Danilo Marcucci once said. Indeed it is; yoga is medicine for the body, mind, and spirit, so why not blend (ferment?!) the two? Come practice yoga and learn about the holistic and natural approach to winemaking, which wines help you get in touch with your senses, and the Earth they come from.

In this juicy 2-hour event, we'll engage in a strong, grounding, and meditative Yin yoga class (lightly themed about natural wine) that will connect body and breath and attune the senses so we can fully experience the delicious natural wine in the following class. We'll taste three natural wines, talk about the producers and their winemaking practices, and focus on how we can contribute to sustainability in winedrinking.

The yoga class will happen first inside Remnant Brewing within Bow Market, and will be led by Shelby Dwyer, a local licensed mental health counselor and certified yoga teacher. The wine class will be held at Rebel Rebel (just next door to Remnant Brewing) and will be led by the talented and brilliant sommelier Margot Mazur.

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat. Previous yoga experience is not required. Since we will be tasting wines post-yoga, it is recommended that you avoid any strong beverages like coffee for at least 1-2 hours prior to the tasting.
